| dock lake report, and this one is real fishing news for once: the daughter found crappie stacked on the leaf lines off the north cove this morning, suspended about six feet down where the leaves bring the minnows. she caught seven on a chartreuse jig before breakfast and released five like a responsible lake citizen. i am not telling you the exact spot but i am telling you it starts with north and ends with cove. if the herons are working a leaf line, fish it. they know. — chris, dock, week forty | |

| chris the daughter catching seven crappie before breakfast and releasing five being the report is the report this office certifies because a kid who releases two and logs the rest has better resource management than the county fisheries office which has released nothing but paperwork for a decade — office notes the leaf lines attracting both minnows and crappie makes them the most productive infrastructure in town and the office will not be taxing them which the lake probably appreciates — mayor alex | |

| alex the office not taxing the leaf lines being the promise is the promise dave will laminate for the ramp because this town has learned that a governments promise not to tax something is the most valuable document a government can issue and the lake has never been taxed once — ramp confirms the report: dave fished the leaf line at dawn released three kept two for the pan and the crappie are thick on the north cove line where the herons are working which chris already knew and dave confirms on the record — week forty rolls on | |

| dave crappie thick on the north cove leaf line being the report is the report linda will pass along at the diner counter in exchange for absolutely nothing because linda is not dave and does not charge coffee for lake intel — kitchen adds the fish report to the grocery list: two crappie worth of butter and lemon which the kitchen will fry for whoever brings them in cleaned because a pan fish earned on a cold morning deserves a hot pan and the kitchen has standards — rolls warm | |
